Bangalore Royal Challengers beat Rajasthan Royals team comprehensively in the second match of IPL 2009. Peterson, Royal Challengers team captain won the toss & elected to bat first.
But it looked he took wrong decision after first 3 balls of the match as they lost 2 wickets (Ryder & Taylor) with no runs on the board. Later Peterson & Dravid started building the innings slowly, but Peterson last wicket in order to increase the tempo of the innings.
Dravid who was under pressure, played anchor role in the Bangalore innings & scored 66 in just 48 balls. He is only batsmen played well among all the players form the both sides.
Warne bowled beautifully in the middle to control the Royal Challengers score, who scored 133 runs for loss of 8 wickets. In bowling, Mascarenhas & Warne bowled well, also taken 3 & 2 wickets.
Rajasthan Royals has also started their innings similar to Challengers, But none of the batsmen got into anchor role, like what Dravid played for his team. Initially Praveen Kumar took the wickets of Smith & Asnodkar. Then Ryder who failed with bat, bowled well & took wickets of dangerous Henderson & Niraj Patel.Later kumble got into act & took 5 wickets to bundle the Rajasthan Royals to lowest score in IPL 58runs.Finally Dravid innings was the difference between two teams.
